My Father's Day

I haven't published anything since the election... for the most part I was disheartened to say the least, and from the treasure trove of " I told you so's" available in the news... who wants to read I told you so?

This father's day gave me a reason to write again.

When I began writing as a kid, my father was my editor.
When he read something, it was a process... line by line analysis, questioning everything for deeper meaning.
I had to ask him to use a pencil to edit my papers, because he would write ALL over them! We could argue over substance for hours before laughing at the fact that it was 1am and I had a deadline.

In fact, nearly 3 years ago I asked my father to proof-read my introductory post on this site. Its a great memory... sitting in a sunny beach house, rare for my family, talking and sometimes arguing how to best promote self governance.

My father's belief system grew from a culture of God, family and community. He was an American patriot, because in the end he just wanted solutions to problems we all faced, no matter who's idea made sense.
He would throw out grand ideas, and I would look for the un-intended consequences as the test. It made for some great brainstorming!

He was an attorney, a politician (for both parties) and a social networker 40 years before the internet.
That's been my inspiration... behind this site, behind this interest in the betterment of individuals as a whole through education and truth.

We lost my father to brain cancer 9 months ago...

So why write? Why pick my head up from the crowd to speak when I can be "fine" if I stay quiet?

When I first started writing on this site, we discussed overcoming the fear of the PC police as they point fingers of hypocrisy.
How whatever I wrote would always be out there somewhere...

3 years later

The federal government tortured people with similar beliefs as me, to keep them quiet for the 2012 election.

Through the IRS, the tea party was crippled with red tape while leftist groups went tax free... and don't tell me that's not torture... They released private information  on these people for political gain!

then...

The press worked with the government to cover up essentially al qaeda capturing our flag in Libya ON 9/11... 2 months before the election!
One CBS reporter actually attempted to report on Benghazi while her colleagues hid the story...
Her story is still unfolding, but she was hacked and information from her reporting was taken off her home computer.

So why still speak up? Why risk saying that the Democrat party and its coalition of the un-informed are going to destroy this country?

Thanks dad... for giving me the courage to fight for what I believe in.
