I believe it's time for Rick Perry to leave the race, and endorse another candidate. He thought that he could take the conservative vote for granted, without having to actually be the leading spokesman for the movement.
He is not ready for the national spot light, and its time for him to step out of the way before more votes are wasted on him in South Carolina. If both he and Michelle Bachmann will endorse Santorum or Newt prior to voting day, there may be time for a true debate within the party between the Libertarian wing, the "moderate" wing and the conservative wing.
That debate will be the best thing for this party in the long run, so hopefully these conservative candidates support the cause more than their ego...
